DJ BMF devotes his Friday night residency at Lil Indies this week to the late-’80s phenomenon known as freestyle. The genre, a deceptively sweet mix of disco, hip-hop and house, was big for a couple of years in New York, Miami and a few other spots, and is still beloved by many of a certain age.
