
If you haven’t heard, brunch is big right now. Thrillist named Florida’s 12 best brunches in a mouth-watering listicle, and two of O-town’s mid-morning meals made the cut:
- Dexter’s of Thornton Park was touted for their Monte Cristo waffle sandwich stuffed with Swiss cheese, ham and raspberry jam between waffles dusted with powdered sugar, plus their ever-popular $3 mimosas.
- Txokos Basque Kitchen, chef Henry Salgado’s Iberian hot spot at East End Market, was also noted for cheap booze ($2 mimosas and $3 Bloody Marys), as well as their signature Baked Spanish Toast, a donut bread pudding studded with Bordeaux cherries and topped with glazed pork belly and a poached egg.
