Kaya celebrates its Earth Day Boogie dance party and night market from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, featuring drinks by Kaya and Caribbean and Southern comfort eats by vegan scratch kitchen/bakery Cosecha. A cocktail competition will also take place, as will a clothing swap and resource drive by People’s Free Kitchen.

Orlando Science Center’s annual Science & Wine fundraiser returns April 25. The food and wine walkaround will feature numerous varieties of vino as well as food from local purveyors like 4Rivers Smokehouse, Chuan Fu, Superica, Portillo’s and more. Tickets are $100-$150. Bernard Carmouche — chef and co-founder of Two Chefs Seafood & Oyster Bar in the North Quarter, Muddy Waters in South Eola, and culinary director of the Emeril’s empire who helped open Emeril’s Orlando — passed away last month at the age of 59. He leaves behind a wife, two children, and three godchildren.
