Orlando is becoming a serious food destination, and with the addition of quite a few new spots planned to open before the end of 2017, the City Beautiful has never been a better place to be a foodie. Poke-Hana
Estimated opening date: October 2017
Due to a lengthy permitting process, King Bao owners have switched concepts for a new restaurant from a lobster roll joint to Hawaiian poke bowl spot Poke-Hana. Freshly made, custom dishes will be served at location set to open in the Mills District in October.

Market on Magnolia, a mini-food hall, will open in the space that once housed Frank and Steins. The eatery will offer home-grown Florida brews and craft cocktails, as well as food items from Da Kine Poke, Gnarly Barley and Sauce’d Wood Fired Pizza.

Those close to UCF will soon be able to enjoy late-night tacos and drinks with the opening of Gringos Locos in Knights Plaza, right outside of the CFE Arena. Depending on traffic, this location may stay open until 4 a.m., an hour later than the Milk District and Downtown spots.

Little Blue Donut Co. is taking their sweet, pillowy treats beyond the streets with the opening of a Winter Park store. Hot, fresh, made-to-order donuts will be available at the location set to open in October.

Portuguese food truck Bem Bom will set up shop in Audubon Park with a Corrine Drive location. Fans of the eatery will be able to enjoy pregos, tacos and quesadillas in one spot instead of tracking down the truck.

From the trio behind Kappo, comes Kadence, an Audubon Park spot that will seat only 20 people in two distinct areas. Diners in one section can feast on sushi omakase, while other eaters will enjoy Kappo-style omakase dinners.

Orlando Sentinel reported soul-food favorite spot Nikki’s Place will reopen in the Parramore community following a fire that destroyed the place two years ago. The menu will include classic southern sides, sandwiches and desserts.

Beginning in October, Orlando City Soccer fans will be able either celebrate their team’s wins or drown their sorrows following defeat at Lion’s Den, a new hybrid bar/cafe opening within walking distance of Orlando City Stadium. Food will only be served on the days the Pride isn’t playing, as the location is turned into a cafe or private event space.
