If you’re going to stuff your face, it should at least A) do some good and B) be really, really good food. Second Harvest’s second Chef’s Night of 2019 fills the bill on both counts: A) proceeds benefit their culinary training program, which provides students the skills to obtain an entry-level position in the food service industry, and B) features creations by noteworthy local professional chefs Jason Wolfe, Scott Pizzo, Anukul Hampton, Alberto Navarrete and Rabii Saber. Those creations include heirloom tomato salad with locally made burrata, wine-braised short rib with English pea and celery root puree, and a dessert that incorporates Florida blueberries, a lemon cremeux and a pistachio white-chocolate crunch. Now aren’t you just the hungry philanthropist!
