Orlandoans now have a one-stop shop for authentic Hawaiian food with an Asian twist.

Rion’s Ocean Room, the latest endeavor by Domu founder Sonny Nguyen, has launched its soft opening phase, which will run through mid-November. The shop, located in the former Skyebird Juice Bar space in East End Market, is open from noon to 6 p.m. or until it’s sold out, seven days a week.

The two-in-one concept features Rion’s Ocean Room as well as Gyukatsu Rose, specializing in traditional Hawaiian poke-by-the-pound and Japanese staple fried wagyu cutlets.

The casual seafood counter offers up to 12 varieties of fresh poke, in spicy, shoyu and Hawaiian options, with a choice of plantain chips, tortilla chips or rice.

Nguyen, founder of the new restaurant collective he has named Small Food Group, is known for his other local Orlando favorites he has opened in the past, including Domu, Tori Tori and Edoboy.
