Puerto Rican ice pop company Señor Paleta is opening a spot in the Florida Mall this Saturday.

The artisanal paleta outpost in Orlando is Señor Paleta’s first venture outside the island and is part of a larger movement of Puerto Rican companies setting up shop in Central Florida to meet the demands of the growing diaspora of el municipio 79. 

Señor Paleta was founded by Ramon Ortiz, a pharmacist by training and physician Jennifer Serrano, according to a news release. The popular popsicles are made daily with fresh ingredients, ranging from fruit-based desserts to creamy, milk-based treats.

Señor Paleta has traditional flavors like strawberry, chocolate, lime and coconut, but they also have cool Puerto Rican-inspired concoctions like 
guanábana, café con leche and turrón. Señor Paleta is also bringing debuting several new delicious popsicles in Orlando, including one flavored like guava and cheese, a gastronomic heavy-hitter combo in some Caribbean counties.

Señor Paleta will officially open at the Florida Mall at 8001 S. Orange Blossom Trail on May 11 at 11 a.m. Check out their Facebook to see the other new flavors the ice pop company is bringing to Orlando.
