Quicksand, an upcoming natural wine bar masterminded by Golden Hour’s Heather LaVine, will provide plenty of pours at the local Filipino restaurant Kaya’s second birthday party.
The yet-to-open establishment takes over Kaya’s dining room Monday evening, Nov. 11, giving guests a chance to grab an all-natural drink and chat with the Golden Hour team.
Quicksand’s doors on East Colonial Drive are set to open before the end of this year, says owner LaVine, who also runs Golden Hour winery in Baldwin Park. The wine bar will focus on all-natural wines, with European-inspired fare to accompany with it.
Quicksand is an evolution of LaVine’s Golden Hour concept, providing a new and larger space for connoisseurs of pesticide-free, organic wines to gather and sip.
Expect au-naturel spirits, guest bartenders, flavorful Filipino bar snacks, sick tracks from local DJs and a photobooth to capture the moment at Kaya’s two-year anniversary celebration Monday night.
Quicksand takes over Kaya from 6-11 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 11. No reservations are required; walk-ins only.
