It’s pretty much perfect timing for a new cold-treat truck in Orlando, as the temperatures are already climbing to summer levels, plus we’re pretty sure shaved ice is a good remedy for pollen-saturated sinuses.
Kona Ice trucks feature a “Flavorwave,” which is basically like a 7-Eleven soda dispenser of flavored syrups, so you can mix your own flavor; or, you can just let them serve you one of the 500 different flavors they’ve come up with, including Snickerdoodle, PSL, pickle, lavender lemonade and bubblegum.
The Hayses plan to donate a portion of proceeds to various educational philanthropies. Kona Ice says their franchisees have donated more than $60 million to community-based organizations nationwide since June 2007.
