A new ramen joint is moving into the former Verde Cantina space in Thornton Park.

According to Ricky Ly of Tasty Chomps, construction for the new Jinya Ramen Bar will begin in the next couple of months, with an opening date expected for early 2018.

The chain, which has over 27 locations spanning the U.S. and Canada, also serves up bao sandwiches, fusion tacos, quinoa salads, fried chicken, poké bowls and more.

The Thornton Park spot, located at 8 N. Summerlin Ave, will be the company’s first Florida location.

It’s worth mentioning that the Baoery, a ramen-heavy gastropub created by local chef Greg Richie that was just around the corner and featured similar cuisine, closed back in March
