Hawkers Asian Street Fare announces Windermere location

In case you haven’t noticed, our little street-fare-place-that-could has opened three locations around Florida in addition to the original Mills 50 spot: Jacksonville, Neptune Beach and St. Petersburg round out the location list.

This week, Hawkers officially announced its fifth location, slated to open in the latter part of this year in Windermere.

The restaurant will occupy 4,500 square feet of a Tavistock development in the area. If you’re not familiar, Tavistock is the land development group that “invented” Lake Nona and owns restaurants Canvas Restaurant & Market and Chroma Kitchen + Bar.

Hawkers’ most famous fan, Andrew Zimmern, touts the restaurant as a must-visit in Orlando’s dining scene. “Everything I’ve tasted [at Hawkers] is shockingly good,” he said in a USA Today article. Ask any local, we’re not shocked.

There are plans to take the brand national within the next year, including a location in Atlanta’s Old Fourth Ward, opening in March 2018.
