We’re fast approaching the opening of Orlando’s newest out-of-this-world theme park, which is also set to bring with it an abundance of otherworldly eats.
Epic Universe, slated to open as Universal Orlando’s fourth theme park in May 2025, will feature five immersive worlds. Portals will transport guests to Super Nintendo World, Ministries of Magic in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, the monster-filled Dark Universe, an island of dragons inspired by How to Train Your Dragon and a futuristic steampunk realm dubbed Celestial Park.
And with these parks packed with themed rides, sights and sounds, comes a menu just as imaginative. Guests can expect treats like Butterbeer crepes, Bowser’s Fireball meatball, Mario and Luigi burgers and much more.
Here’s a taste of what will be on the menu when Epic Universe opens its gates.
Celestial Park
- Sea Bass: served with carrot mochi, sugar snap peas, lemongrass broth and starfruit slices.
- Landlubber’s Snickerdoodle Loot: snickerdoodle cake with cookie butter ganache, Biscoff crumble and gummy sharks, served in a beach pail.
- Tonkotsu Ramen: ramen noodles in pork broth with chashu pork, tare egg, shiitake mushrooms and togarashi oil.
- Platter with Mango Bread & Pickles: choice of smoked brisket, ribs, pulled pork, cheddar jalapeño sausage or herb-roasted chicken, with sides like braised greens, and mac and cheese.
- Harvest Moon Pizza: tomato sauce with grilled artichokes, Divina tomatoes, roasted peppers, Castelvetrano olives and arugula.
- Grand Atlantic Martini: dry gin, aperitif wine and a lemon twist.
- Waturi Punch: rum, bitters and fruit juices.
- The Plastered Owl: dark rye whiskey, simple syrup, cherry syrup, lemon juice and muddled cherries.
- Khaosan Boba: Thai milk tea with coffee boba and coffee foam.
- Meteor Strike: light rum, triple sec, lime and pineapple juice, lemon-lime soda, edible gold glitter and a flaming sugar cube.
- Mario Burger: beef patty with mushrooms, lettuce, tomato, American cheese and brioche bun, served with truffle fries.
- Luigi Burger: grilled chicken with basil pesto, Swiss cheese, green peppers and spinach on a brioche bun, served with truffle fries.
- Bowser’s Fireball Challenge: one-pound meatball with mozzarella, mushroom marinara, parsley, a Bowser-inspired puff pastry and hot sauce on the side.
- Yoshi’s Smoothie: blended Granny Smith apple and honeydew syrup with milk, topped with whipped cream and green apple boba.
- Stakes: choice of blackened salmon, grilled chicken tenderloin, or wild mushroom brisket meatloaf, served with roasted veggies and charred green onion mashed potatoes.
- “Blood” Orange Chicken Sandwich: fried chicken breast in blood orange sauce on a black bun with pickles, slaw and crispy fries.
- Vegan Stuffed Cabbage: Impossible meat wrapped in cabbage leaves with bell pepper tomato sauce and beet bucatini.
- Hunter’s Garlic Stake: cheesy garlic pretzel with garlic dipping sauce.
- Butterbeer Crêpe: crepe filled with shortbread cookie butter, Bavarian cream, Butterbeer cream, strawberries, Butterbeer drizzle and a Butterbeer shortbread cookie.
- Baguette de Dinde: black pepper turkey with arugula, apples, and Brie on a baguette with mustard butter and apple butter.
- Alchemist’s Platter: smoked sausage, potato and cheese pierogies, pickled eggs, marinated beets, caramelized onions and a pretzel with German mustard and cheese fondue.
- Lentil Stew: lentils, vegan bacon, and root vegetables served with artisan bread.
- Quiche Lorraine: egg custard with bacon, gruyère cheese, and caramelized onions in a flaky crust, topped with mornay sauce and served with berries and lavender honey drizzle.
- Yaknog: malted chocolate drink with cinnamon and whipped cream.
- Thawfest Platter: chicken drumsticks with wild berry BBQ glaze, grilled salmon, sausage, roasted carrots, cipollini onions, Nordic fries and side sauces.
- Nordic Harvest Salad: kale, arugula, red cabbage, radishes, ancient grains, blueberries, apples, trail mix and raspberry vinaigrette.
- Stormfly’s Catch of the Day: chocolate mousse fish on crispy rice cereal.
