Lighter than crème brûlée but just as satisfying, the cream and milk for the dessert are steeped with cinnamon and orange zest before being combined with sugar and eggs and baked in a water bath.
Chef Lopez serves the dessert with a couple of orange supremes and some fresh mint to accent the citrus notes. It’s a Florida-forward take on a classic European sweet.
