3 spots to swill sake on National Sake Day, Oct. 1 🍶

If you’re still coming off your buzzbuzzbuzz from National Coffee Day yesterday, tomorrow’s celebration is sure to mellow you right out. National Sake Day is Oct. 1, and there are plenty of places in town that plan to slosh this under-appreciated spirit like it’s Bud Light (but way better).

Dragonfly Robata Grill & Sushi
Each table will receive a sample from a Zen Tokubetsu Junmai magnum (shown right), and servers will be expertly trained in pairing sakes with the restaurant’s new omakase. Wanna dive deeper into the sake pond? Flights of seasonal sakes are available for $18.

Bento Cafe (all locations)
Start your celebration as early as you want, for goodness’ sake! (See what we did there?) Bento Cafe is offering BOGO hot sake all day, including flavored sakes like lychee sake, fuji apple sake, raspberry sake, white peach sake and unfiltered nigori sake.

Hawkers Asian Street Fare
Happy hour is sake hour at the bar at Hawkers, where you can sip sake all you like and enjoy $3 Asian tapas (built-in hangover cure!) like coconut-curry shrimp and all the roti canai you can handle.
