Universal Orlando guests can soon get exclusive access to attractions, character meet-and-greets, live entertainment and themed food at Volcano Bay for the very first time — all after the sun goes down.
Universal is set to launch Volcano Bay Nights, the park’s first-ever nighttime event, during select nights this spring. The limited-capacity event will be held on April 12 and 26, and May 3, 10 and 17 starting at 7 p.m.
Guests will be able to take advantage of reduced wait times for the park’s many water rides, including the Krakatau Aqua Coaster, Ko’okiri Body Plunge and Kala & Tai Nui Serpentine Body Slides. Additional activities will include games like hula hoop contests and limbo on Waturi Beach, accompanied by a live DJ.
Characters from DreamWorks films will be available for meet-and-greets, including Shrek, Fiona, Puss in Boots, King Julien, Alex the Lion and Trolls characters Poppy, Branch and Guy Diamond.
Volcano Bay Nights will also offer bites in the form of complimentary snacks like Spicy Island Shrimp and Cheesy Cliffside Seashell Pasta, plus drinks provided in a Volcano Bay Souvenir Cup.
Tickets are available now starting at $99 per person, with event parking included. Ticket holders can enter the park beginning at 4 p.m., and the exclusive event will start at 7 p.m. Universal Orlando Passholders are eligible for a 10% discount with a valid Annual or Seasonal Pass and photo ID.
Private cabanas are available for reservation starting at $250. Cabanas must be booked in-park at concierge huts on the day of the event and are subject to availability, Universal says.
