Step into the glamor and drama of the Roaring ’20s as Orlando Ballet takes on F. Scott Fitzgerald’s immortal novel The Great Gatsby, accompanied by the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra at Steinmetz Hall this weekend.

Choreographed by Jorden Morris with a sweeping score by Carl Davis, this production follows Jay Gatsby’s pursuit of love in a world of luxury, ambition and deception with an inevitably tragic conclusion. Featuring bold storytelling, dazzling design and live music, it all makes for quite the  worthy night out at the theater.

Various times Thursday-Sunday, April 30-May 3, Steinmetz Hall at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, 445 S. Magnolia Ave., drphillipscenter.org, $36-$234.
