Universal’s new Harry Potter Christmas light show is pretty incredible

Last night Universal hosted a sneak preview of their new “The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts” projection show, and if you have any interest in Harry Potter, you’ll probably drop a yule log or two.

This season, for the first time ever, both Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure are featuring a swath of Potter-holiday decorations and daily festivities, with each day capped off with an over-the-top projection and lights show at Hogwarts Castle.

Thankfully, local theme park blog Inside The Magic shot the entire 7 minute-long main event, and as you can see the show features all new Harry Potter content and some impressive explosions.

The festivities kick off this Saturday and come with the price of admission.
