Stephanie Jung: “Maigo Desu III”

Since the relatively recent advent of digital photography, the adage “the camera doesn’t lie” has completely lost currency (if it ever had any). Photo manipulation has exploded into a legit art form, bending temporal, dimensional and technological limits. We won’t attempt here to discuss the specific techniques of any of these artists – their work speaks for itself, by turns weird, distorted, poetic and profound. Jay Mark Johnson and Jeff Frost will be at Friday night’s Motion to Light opening. Johnson will take part in the Salon Talk artists’ panel; Frost lectures at OMA 3 p.m. Saturday.

Jessica Bryce Young has been working with Orlando Weekly since 2003, serving as copy editor, dining editor and arts editor before becoming editor in chief in 2016.
