The park will hold open auditions for any potential mermaids or mermen interested in making $10 an hour to swim year-round in 72-degree spring water.
The first audition, which takes place Jan. 13 at 4:30 p.m., involves treading water for 15 minutes and a timed 300-yard endurance swim with and against the river’s currents. If you make it past that, you get an invite to the second audition to show off your mermaid skills, and finally an interview.
Anyone interested must be at least 18 years old, and be able to work four days a week. You must also RSVP an audition spot by emailing WeekiHR@gmail.com by Jan. 11.
