With Meta quite literally promising to snatch and scrape your photos with or without your consent to feed AI’s gaping maw, now might be a good time to forget about Instagram, go back to film photography and put your snapshots in a quaint little photo album instead.
To that end, Kiwi Camera Service on Virginia Drive is hosting their annual swap meet, where film-photography enthusiasts gather to trade, buy and sell cameras and related gear. It’s a free and friendly local tradition that’s practically guaranteed to net you some new filmic paraphernalia, and maybe even a new community to encourage and assist you in your analog journey. Tintypealchemist will even be on site offering tintype photo ops. So break the Meta habit starting this weekend.
