The theme for this 38th year of the Festival of Trees is “Let the Joy of the Season Shine,” promising 50 intricately decorated trees and wreaths on display at the Orlando Museum of Art. There will also be light displays, pop-up shops, artisan gingerbread creations and treats from a Holiday Café.
There are a handful of holiday-themed events happening concurrently with the Festival. First up is an unveiling party happening at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15. On Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 16-17, and again on Nov. 23, youngsters can have Breakfast With Santa at OMA. There’s also a Reindeer Romp on Nov. 22, where families in attendance get to meet Santa Claus and attend storytime with Mrs. Claus. There’s even a Silent Disco Jam Party for grown folks to — quietly! — rock around the Christmas trees on Nov. 23. (These are all ticketed events, we should mention.)
“We love bringing to life this annual tradition that not only brings joy to so many, but also raises money for the museum and educational efforts,” Allison Hudson, President of event sponsors the Council of 101, said in a press statement.
To learn more about the Festival of Trees or to purchase tickets — these events are separate from general museum admission — visit the Council of 101’s website for more information.
