On Jan. 7, Walt Disney World began dismantling the iconic sorcerer’s hat, which has greeted visitors to Disney’s Hollywood Studios since 2001. Some say the park decided to remove it to restore the view of the replica of LA’s Chinese Theatre, which was obstructed when the hat was installed. Some were happy to see the hat go check out Instagram for photos tagged #byefelicia, posted by people who could care less about the hat but in recent days, tons of people have posted taken to social media to bid it a fond farewell.
