Strange things are afoot at Universal.

After 26 years, Bill S. Preston, Esquire and Ted "Theodore" Logan (aka the Wyld Stallyns) will perform their final show at Universal's Halloween Horror Nights 27.

This morning, Universal made the announced on its official blog, stating that "Bill and Ted’s Excellent Halloween Adventure," which has been around since 1992, is coming to an end.

"Now the time has come for these most outstanding dudes to find adventure in other places and other times," says Jason Horne, Universal's show director with creative development.

Though the pop-culture-packed show has been a long tradition at Halloween Horror Nights, Bill and Ted's has been met with mixed reviews to say the least. In 2013, Vice wrote a brutal takedown of the show, referring to it as "Super Homophobic (and Also Racist and Terrible)."

Well, I guess it wasn't for everyone.

No reason was given on exactly why the show was cancelled, and no replacement was announced.

"We'll laugh. We'll dance. We may shed a tear or two," added Horne. "We’ll take with us some most triumphant memories."
