A new poll shows that GOP candidate Donald Trump only appeals to 12.9 percent of Hispanics in Florida, one of the most crucial swing states in the road to the presidency.
The poll from
New Latino Voice, showed that 76.4 percent would vote for Hillary Clinton and an additional 10.7 percent would vote for another candidate.
“[It’s] a historical low for a Republican candidate,” said poll co-author Eduardo Gamarra to
Univision. “If the voter turnout of Hispanics is high here, Trump runs the risk of not winning. The Hispanic Republican [base] shrinks during every election cycle in Florida.”
This poll comes only days after the
New York Times referred to the Sunshine State as the most likely "tipping point" for this year's election.
According to
the latest poll, Clinton leads Trump in Florida by 6 percent.
