A monster gator strolled through a Florida golf course last weekend

When you see a 16 ft alligator on the golf course let it play through. 

Last weekend, Charles Helms posted a video to his Facebook of this enormous gator roaming Buffalo Creek Golf Club in Palmetto, Florida.

In the video, bystanders can be heard saying things like, "the biggest freaking alligator I've seen in my life," and "I think that's two guys in an alligator suit."

Wendy Schofield, an employees of the club, told WGME that the gator is estimated to be 15 to 16 ft long. "He doesn't bother anybody and they don't bother him, he's like a mascot for the course."

For the record, in April of this year, the largest alligator ever captured in Florida was recorded near Okeechobee and came in at 15 feet long and 780 pounds.
