
The Orlando Sentinel reports the Orange County Sheriff’s Office was looking for the toddler in the waters late Tuesday night, who had not been found at the time. Information about the child’s name or whether the child was a hotel guest was not immediately available.
UPDATE: The Orange County Sheriff’s Office was still looking Wednesday morning for the missing 2-year-old Nebraska boy who was dragged into the water by an alligator.
The Orlando Sentinel reported Sheriff Jerry Demings saying the boy and his four family members were relaxing on the shores of Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa when the gator came after the toddler. The boy’s father tried to save him, but failed to yank him out of the reptile’s grip. The Sheriff’s Office was called around 9:16 p.m, according to the Sentinel.
UPDATE: According to FOX 13, Disney has now closed all of their beaches in response to the incident.
