Orlando’s comedy and music scenes came together to throw a benefit fundraiser for progressive Senate candidate Angie Nixon Wednesday. Aimee LeCours, Simon Nash, Lee Cohen, Larry Fulford, Curtains, M.A.C.E. and David Zim all donated their artistry onstage at Will’s Pub. And, yes, an Eskamani or two made an appearance.
Nixon, who has been endorsed by both Orlando’s Rep. Maxwell Frost and mayoral candidate Dr. Anna V. Eskamani, is running to unseat Republican Ashley Moody in November.
The Will’s Pub show featured a who’s who of community-minded artists and supporters, with all proceeds going to Nixon’s campaign.
