At first glance, Don Jon (A560443) seems to be a shy, shut-down senior dog. He huddles quietly in his kennel at Orange County Animal Services, and it’s rare to see him interacting with anyone. Until, that is, it’s his turn to get outside. And that’s where the real Don Jon shines through. Once the leash comes on, the years just shed away, and he’s a puppy again, running around the yard, seeking affection and attention, his energy level and happiness are off the charts.
But sadly, very few people have seen this side of Don Jon. They only see what he presents behind the bars: a shy, quiet dog that seems almost depressed. We’re hoping to change that for him. Let’s get this sweet senior seen. Let’s get him home.
