St. Petersburg mayor calls for ban on Donald Trump

Perpetual fountain of ridiculousness and Republican presidential contender Donald Trump graced America with more bombastic statements about Muslims on Monday, this time calling for “a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country’s representatives can figure out what is going on,” according to a campaign press release. 

Like the rest of us, St. Petersburg Mayor Rick Kriseman apparently could not take it anymore and tweeted: 

Obviously, Kriseman was joking, as you can see by this subsequent tweet: 

Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio and other Republican presidential contenders also condemned Trump’s policy.
