Remember setting up lemonade stands in the driveway or on the side of the road when you were a kid? I do.
My BFF and I went for a bigger market and planted ourselves behind a folding table with a piece of poster board and a pitcher of Country Time Pink Lemonade on the side of Dean Road, just outside the entrance to our neighborhood.
Panera Bread and New Hope for Kids, a nonprofit organization that provides grief counseling to children, have combined forces to make the most of that nostalgia with a lemonade stand of their own.
On Friday and Saturday, Aug. 5 and 6, you can cool down from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with either of Panera’s lemonade beverages (on the rocks or frozen) at participating locations for just $1, and all the proceeds will go to New Hope for Kids.
Find a participating location here, and find more information about New Hope for Kids, including how to volunteer as a grief counselor or make a donation, here.
