Gyukatsu Rose, the newest offering from Sonny Nguyen’s Small Foods Group, will at last soft-open in a few days at East End Market.

As we reported back in August of last year, Gyukatsu Rose is the latest concept from Domu Founder Sonny Nguyen. It is the second-half of his Small Foods Group — along with the already-opened Rion’s Ocean Room — to reside at East End Market in Audubon Park.

While Rion’s Ocean Room dishes out bold new takes on poke, Gyukatsu Rose serves gyukatsu, or Japanese fried beef cutlets. Wagyu is typically used, which is seasoned, coated in breadcrumbs, and given a quick fry before being sliced rare and served alongside a mini stone grill for diners to sear to their liking.

Gyukatsu Rose shared via Instagram that it will be in a soft-opening mode starting on Thursday, Jan. 16, through Sunday, Jan. 19, from 4-9 p.m. — walk-ins only.
