Every year, television network HGTV hosts a "Dream Home" giveaway, and this time a waterfront Florida home was up for grabs.
Marie Fratta, a teacher from New York’s Westchester County, won the pad (and a new Mercedes-Benz and $100K) three months ago, and now it appears she's looking to get rid of it.
Located on Florida's Anastasia Island, which is just east of St. Augustine, the newly built 3,300-square-foot home comes fully furnished and has three bedrooms and four bathrooms. It also features designer amenities, white oak floors, smart home technology, an outdoor kitchen, a heated saltwater pool, and views of the Matanzas River and the historic St. Augustine Lighthouse.
According to HGTV, the overall prize package is valued at over $2.2 million.
Winners of HGTV Dream Home have the option of rejecting the home and instead accepting a cash prize of $650,000. But in this case, Fratta accepted the home (and all the prizes) and then opted for the flip.
As of now, the home currently has a pending offer with an asking price of $1,999,950. The listing agent is Rebecca Staples of Xcellence Realty.
