Apparently rock & roll icon Ann Wilson isn't that crazy on Florida. Less than five years after moving from Seattle to the Sunshine State, the 74-year-old lead singer of legendary rock band Heart has listed her waterfront home.
Located at 595 W. River Road, in rural Palatka, the estate was built in the early 1900s, and was purchased by Wilson in 2019 for $885,000.
Sitting on over 12 acres along the St. Johns River, the property consists of a 4,084-square-foot main house featuring three bedrooms and three bathrooms, as well as an infinity pool, stained-glass windows, multiple porches, a dock and over 500 feet of river frontage.
There's also two backup generators, an RV port and workshop, and a 2,406-square-foot guest house, featuring four bedrooms and two bathrooms and an elevator, says the listing.
No exact reason was given for the sale. But Wilson, who was diagnosed with cancer last July, has previously expressed to media outlets that her Florida move hasn't been easy.
“I love the weather down here,” said Wilson to the Seattle Times in 2020. “I miss the turning of the seasons, but I really don’t miss the nine months of constant drizzle and dreariness that is Seattle weather. I’m really glad to wake up every day and be able to see the sky. I’m still adjusting to living in a town that isn’t a progressive bubble like Seattle is.”
Heart, known for hits like "Barracuda," "Crazy On You," "Magic Man," "These Dreams" and more, was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2013.
The Wilson home is currently asking $2 million, and the listing agents are Kim Martin-Fisher and Jennifer Martin Faulkner of Douglas Elliman Florida.
