UF and FSU announce merger, freak out people who forgot it’s April Fools’ Day

After years of trying to figure out how many Seminoles/Gators it takes to change a lightbulb, the University of Florida and Florida State University announced they are merging both universities and putting an end to the rivalry. 

Instead of trying to figure out which campus would best suit this merger, UFFSU is moving to Perry, a North Florida town with a population of about 7,000 people.
The Independent Florida Alligator reports the empty campuses in Tallahassee and Gainesville will become theme parks. Whether this new school will be called FSUUF or UFFSU is still up for debate, according to university officials.
