A rare, true mid-century modern home has just hit the market in Orlando.
Located at 1501 Anchor Court, the home was built in 1965. It was designed by renowned mid-century architect Manfred Lopatka. Originally from Germany, Lopatka moved to Winter Park after earning his architectural degree and soon started his own firm in the city. He’s left his mark on several homes and buildings throughout the area, like those pictured in Orlando’s Historic Preservation Board’s 2018 calendar celebrating local mid-century modern architecture.
The home has three bedrooms and five baths, and maintains many of its 1960s characteristics, like wood-paneled walls, tile floors and a minimalist wood-burning fireplace.
The home is listed for $1,950,000 and is being represented by Mick Night with Premier Sotheby’s International Realty.
