This year marks the fifth anniversary of the Pulse nightclub shooting, an event that changed the Orlando community forever. Throughout the week, Orlando will come together to send a message of unity and love. These are the events that you can attend to honor the 49 lives lost while celebrating Pride Month.
Overcoming Barriers

A conversation on overcoming barriers between the LGBTQ+ and faith community brought by the onePulse Foundation and St. Luke’s Church.

An event intended for staff members of organizations that have supported survivors and community members affected by the Pulse tragedy. This night is to acknowledge the initiatives and work that help the Orlando community.

An afternoon of art in memory of the Pulse victims at Painting with a Twist in Kissimmee. Attendees will receive two 16×20 canvases so you can do it on your own or with someone else.

St. Luke’s United Methodist Church invites the Central Florida community to an online vigil in remembrance of the 5th anniversary of the Pulse tragedy in Orlando. A time of music, poetry, storytelling, and prayer for uplift the spirit and show love to Orlando.

The First United Methodist Church of Orlando joins the 49 bells ceremony as a part of “Acts of Love and Kindness,” a One Orlando Alliance movement grown out of the spirit of giving in the aftermath of the tragedy at Pulse nightclub. Participants are encouraged to share the event on their stories with the hashtag #ActLoveGive.

An online event both in recognition of the 49 lives lost at Pulse and in commitment to advancing full inclusion for the LGBTQ+ community. People can join the live on facebook and participate in social media using the hashtag #49Bells.

In remembrance of the Pulse victims, people can donate blood at the Technical Health Academy on Saturday, June 12.

Attendees will gather at Abbey Bar in DeLand downtown at 2:00 p.m. and from there march to New York and Woodland. Feel free to bring your Pride flags and signs.

A brief ceremony presented by ProjectNoLabels where attendees can paddle in the water and bond as they honor the 49 lives lost by celebrating their lives. Flowers will be available for participants to pay respects. People are welcome to bring their own floating devices.

Attendees will enjoy more than 50 illusions and more in support of the LGBTQ+ community and Pride Month. A portion of the ticket sales will go to the National Pulse Memorial and Museum.
