The luckiest dog in the history of dogs was found swimming 5 miles off the Florida coast

A Jack Russell terrier in a lifejacket was recently found paddling around roughly 5 miles from shore in the Gulf of Mexico, which is a terrible place for a dog. 

According to Fox 13, two couples boating near Hernando Beach last Sunday when they spotted what they thought was a buoy. “You just saw his little nose sticking up out of the water,” said Shawn Sahr to Fox 13. 

The dog, who’s name is Jägermeister, was plucked from the ocean and taken to the local Coast Guard station. Apparently, the lucky pooch was reported missing 3 hours earlier after falling overboard, reports the station.
