According to CBS Miami, a Russian Blue cat named Nadia disappeared, seemingly for good, last Christmas from her home in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.
“Christmas Eve day, which was a very windy day here in Sheboygan, our back door to the house blew open and the cat got out,” said Nadia’s owner Cheri Stocker to the CBS Miami. “We looked for her for days, it was the worst Christmas ever.”
However, somehow, thousands of miles later, the cat reappeared after being brought in to Collier County Domestic Animal Services in Naples and having her chip scanned.
“It’s like, how did she get there? And we have no clue,” Stocker said. “I would love to know how she hitched a ride to Florida.”
Did she make an “Incredible Journey” alongside a wise but aging golden retriever and a spunky, yet disobedient American bulldog?
Or was she just picked up by some lonely trucker? We’ll never know.
UPDATE: If you know anyone driving to Wisconsin, Nadia’s owner is looking for someone to give her a ride back home.
