Rick Scott: Failed GOP healthcare bill was ‘way better than Obamacare’

Despite no real coherent stance on healthcare from Republicans or the fact that 24 million would’ve lost their coverage, Florida Gov. Rick Scott said Thursday that he still thinks the failed GOP bill was “way better than Obamacare.”

According to the Tampa Bay Times, Scott touted the dead bill today after an event in Tampa. “The House bill was way better than Obamacare,” said Scott. “I was encouraged by it but I think there’s a lot of things we can improve. We’ve got to create more competition. We’ve got to give people the opportunity to buy the insurance they want. Sell insurance across state lines, reward people for taking care of themselves, if you do all those things you drive down the cost.”

It’s very unlikely Trump will push the American Health Care Act again anytime soon. But hey, good luck with all that, Rick.
