Prosecutor fired for posting Orlando ‘should be leveled’ on Facebook, among other things

Assistant State Attorney Kenneth Lewis has been fired for posting comments to Facebook, just hours after the Pulse mass shooting, describing Orlando as “a melting pot of 3rd world miscreants and ghetto thugs.”

Lewis, who is the prosecutor in the state attorney’s office in Orlando, was told Thursday by Orange-Osceola State Attorney Jeff Ashton that he will be terminated at the end of the month because he violated his office’s social media policy. 

Lewis claims the policy violates his free speech.
