Orlando theme parks and Central Florida attractions have announced closures and changes in usual operating hours ahead of Hurricane Milton passing through Central Florida. Here is a running list of theme parks’ operating hours changes this week.

Disney World, Universal, SeaWorld, Gatorland, Legoland and Busch Gardens have announced closings for several days this week.

Busch Gardens
“After reviewing the latest route of Hurricane Milton and to ensure the safety of our ambassadors, guests and animals, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay will be closed Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, Oct. 8-10.”

Dezerland Park
“In preparation for Hurricane Milton, Dezerland Park will be closed beginning Wednesday, October 9.”

Disney World
Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Disney’s Hollywood Studios will close at 1 pm on Wednesday, Oct. 9. Magic Kingdom, EPCOT and Disney Springs, meanwhile, will close at 2 pm. Wednesday, Oct. 9. The resort is expected to stay closed on Thursday, Oct. 10, and Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party on Thursday, October 10, at Magic Kingdom is canceled.

Gatorland
Gatorland will be closed on Wednesday, Oct. 9 and Thursday, Oct. 10; “with the arrival of Hurricane Milton expecting to impact our area on Wednesday, Gatorland has decided to close the park … for the safety of its animals, guests and employees.”

LegoLand
“Legoland Florida will be closed on Wednesday, October 9 – Thursday, October 10. Hotel operations continue with limited capacity.”

SeaWorld, Discovery Cove, Aquatica
“After reviewing the latest route of Hurricane Milton and to ensure the safety of our ambassadors, guests and animals, SeaWorld Orlando, Aquatica Orlando and Discovery Cove Orlando will be closed on Wednesday, October 9th and Thursday, October 10th. Our weather preparedness plan is in place and extra precautions have been taken to ensure the safety of our animals during this time.”

Universal Orlando Resort
“Due to Hurricane Milton, Universal Orlando Resort is making the following operational changes for Wednesday, October 9 and Thursday, October 10, 2024. On Wednesday, Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure and Universal CityWalk will be open until 2 p.m. and will be closed all-day on Thursday, October 10, 2024.
Universal Volcano Bay will be closed all day on Wednesday, October 9 and Thursday, October 10. Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Florida is cancelled for Wednesday and Thursday nights. Universal hotels remain operational as they focus on taking care of guests.”
