However, now the Palm Beach government may finally recoup some of those losses with funding attached to the latest national budget.
According to the Associated Press, the $1 trillion spending plan, which is expected to be approved this week, includes $20 million for pre-inauguration costs in Palm Beach, as well as $41 million for post-inauguration costs.
The plan covers all the usual places Trump would rather be than the White House, like Mar-a-Lago, New York and New Jersey.
As golfer-in-chief, Trump has made seven trips to Mar-a-Lago. He also spent time there before he was sworn in as president.
Mar-a-Lago will close for the summer later this month, and with the recent warmer weather in the north, the 70-year-old president can now golf at his club in Bedminster, N.J., which is exactly what he’s doing this weekend.
