Use the internet for something good! Like watching manatees Credit: Photo courtesy Save the Manatee Club
With (seasonably) cold temperatures here to stay for the next few days in Central Florida, crowds of manatees are currently hunkering down in the warm waters of nearby Blue Springs State Park. That means prime manatee-viewing, either in-person or through the Parks’ ManaTV webcams.

Yes, webcams have gone wholesome at Blue Springs. Several different above- and underwater cameras are providing live all-manatee, all-the-time documentation during the daylight hours, with “highlights” available at night. The multiple camera feeds can be viewed at manatv.org, courtesy of the Save the Manatee Club.

“The webcams have been extremely popular from the moment they launched, and, in addition to being an indispensable tool for manatee research, they also allow the public to view manatees without disturbing them in their winter sanctuaries,” said  Save the Manatee Club Executive Director Patrick Rose in a press statement.
