Another holiday weekend is upon us, which means many of you will be drinking. Which means you may find yourself faced with the decision to:
A) stumble to your car, fish your out keys and try to carefully make your way home without swerving; or
B) call somebody else to drive you home.
You should always choose option B, of course, and AAA is helping to make that decision a no-brainer this Labor Day weekend. AAA is offering its Tow to Go services Friday, Aug. 29, through 6 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 2, to anyone out enjoying the holiday (maybe a little too much), whether they’re a AAA member or not. Throughout the weekend AAA will pick up both the driver and his or her vehicle to transport them home or to another safe location within a 10-mile radius.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), someone is killed every 51 minutes on average during the year due to drunk-driving crashes. During a holiday weekend, that statistic jumps to one every 34 minutes during the holiday.
Don’t make the last official holiday of the summer your (or someone else’s) last day alive; instead call 855-2-TOW-2-GO or (855)-286-9246 and let somebody else get behind the wheel.
