A Florida drone operator captured a healthy reminder that when you’re in the ocean, you’re probably pretty close to a shark. In a video shared to Facebook by Drew Duncan, a surfer passes right next to a shark while carving at Ponce Inlet.

While it seems unlikely that the surfer saw they shark, they happened to turn at the exact moment that they would have crossed over the toothy fish.

Volusia County, where Ponce Inlet is located, is the undisputed shark attack capital of Florida. Even with that distinction, attacks are incredibly rare. The home of Spring Break destination Daytona Beach sees millions of waders every year and has only recorded 320 attacks in the last 240 years. However, shark encounters have increased in recent years.
