Last week, jurors in the case against former Tyco International CEO L. Dennis Kozlowski saw a videotape of the $2 million birthday party that Kozlowski threw for his wife, largely with company funds. Prosecutors showed scenes of scantily clad revelers cavorting around a swimming pool, and of half-naked male models posing for photos with party guests. Also on the tape was singer Jimmy Buffett, whose group was flown in to perform at a reported cost of $250,000. The party was held on the Italian island of Sardinia.
According to the Associated Press, Judge Michael Obus had ruled that the jury could not view certain other “prejudicial” sights from the party tape, including men dressed in Roman garb carrying Kozlowski’s wife over their heads and an ice sculpture of Michelangelo’s David urinating vodka.
