Happening at the RīZōM event space, the workshop will be hosted by Andrew Garraway — an instructor at Full Sail and electronic musician in his own right — and will be a ground-up crash course on basic of modular synthesis suitable for all skill and curiosity levels.
Expect intro explanation and instruction on live hardware, the mysteries of the patch cable, and how what looks to the uninitiated like a big pile of tech detritus can make some quite beautiful music.
An Introduction to Modular Synths happens on Sunday, Feb. 16, at 2 p.m. The cover charge is $20 and will score you a glass of mead (non-alcoholic options are also available).
