The inaugural “Volume 1: Dance This Mess Around” took over Will’s Pub on a bustling Friday evening for a queer-forward night of drag performances, live music, DJs and vendors. An eclectic and glittering crowd made the journey to Mills 50 for this show put on by event curator Davi Oddity and Moxie Booking.
Boundary-pushing drag came courtesy of E (“When Doves Cry” in Prince drag!), Amnesia Effect, Justus, Oddity, Leggy Strangelove and Myki Meeks. DJs Jas000n and Bretto Rush bookended the evening, with EBM project Earth Fault right in the middle. Besides spirits, Chainkiller and Indrid Cold were peddling fashionable wares and wears. It was a night of community and celebration in dark times.
