Any edition of live improvisation showcase Uncontrolled Voltage is worth your time just for experimental weirdness alone, but this latest is a particularly exceptional lineup.
Berz3rkr will divide and conquer with Kit Wray’s solo modular set and Exatari’s processed field recording work. Trotsky’s Watercooler always operates out on the sonic edge with some of the weirdest hardware and no script. Drone flagbearer Danielfuzztone will take you either deep inside to a vision-questing frequency or out into space, probably both. And anyone born with a medical condition where they hear their own heartbeat in their ears like Venus Hum’s Tony Miracle does is already hardwired to make strange sounds. Visuals by Sasha King will make the night a proper multimedia voyage.
7:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 20, Will’s Pub, willspub.org, $10-$15.
