In the famously deep classic-alternative canon, the Ocean Blue are probably the greatest British band not actually from Great Britain. The Pennsylvania group immediately landed with a 1989 self-titled debut proving them inspired disciples of the Anglo jangle-pop aesthetic with brilliant hooks that could rival even Echo & the Bunnymen and The Smiths.

Ever since, the Ocean Blue’s immaculately dreamy pop has woven them into indie history. This weekend, come swim in the timeless perfection of those crystalline melodies.

7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6, The Abbey, 100 S. Eola Drive, abbeyorlando.com, $37.22.
